Krems is the fifth largest city in Lower Austria with about 25,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Danube 70 km west of Vienna, embedded into UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau. The characteristic wine terraces and orchards along the winding river valley, with its monasteries, castles and ruins, form a beautiful destination for excursions and vacations, both culturally and scenically.
